Family and friends, as well as the care team at Riverside View Care Home helped Bunty celebrate her 100th birthday.

At Riverside View Care Home, we recently had the pleasure of celebrating a very special milestone – the 100th birthday of our resident, Bunty. Born on October 13, 1924, in Scotland, Bunty has lived a full and remarkable life. After becoming widowed, she worked as a seamstress and has been a valued member of the Riverside community since 2008.

To commemorate this incredible milestone, Bunty’s family joined the celebrations, along with the care team and fellow residents. The event was made even more special by a live performance from the band Ukulele Smile Time, adding a lively and joyful atmosphere to the day.

As people age, it can become more challenging to stay engaged with social activities, and this can affect mental well-being. At Riverside View, we believe that organising special events, such as birthday parties, is a wonderful way to foster social interaction and keep our residents feeling connected. It brings together family, friends, and fellow residents, ensuring that these meaningful moments are shared and celebrated.

Bunty’s 100th birthday was a day filled with laughter, music, and fond memories, and it brought joy to everyone involved, including our dedicated care team.
