Meet the Team
I began my career in care because I genuinely care about people. I trained as a Registered Adult Nurse with a passion for Elderly Care. I worked for the NHS for the early part of my career as a Ward Nurse and then a Community Nurse before deciding to join the Commissioning aspect of the NHS.
The NHS was a great place to work but I didn’t feel I could make the impact I wanted so I made the move into the Private sector and became a Care Home Manager. I managed a variety of Care Homes for Corporate companies as well as small family ran companies. Along the way, I joined a Charity-ran Hospice as their CEO before returning back to Social Care where I became the Managing Director for Marton Care Homes.
I have a strong commitment to quality care and operational excellence as well as inspiring teams, fostering a culture of compassion and continuous improvement.
I have worked in social care for many years as a Home Manager overseeing several large and successful homes, and as a Regional Manager in residential and nursing environments. I have also worked as a Branch and Operations Manager within domiciliary care.
I am delighted to be part of Marton Care Homes as Operations Manager, working alongside the Managing Director, Regional Support Team, Home Managers and their amazing teams to ensure that together we continue to provide outstanding care.
I started in the care industry at Grosvenor Park care home as a Care Assistant in 2010, where I progressed to a Senior Care Assistant then on to the Deputy Manager role.
After 4 years at Grosvenor Park I was promoted to Home Manager (at another Marton Care home). I left Grosvenor Park and started my career as a Home Manager at Riverside View, which I really enjoyed for eight years.
After eight years of being the Riverside View home manager I was promoted to Regional Manager in 2023.
I love working in the care sector and I am passionate in what I do.
I started my career in 1991 as a care assistant at Langley Park Care Home. I progressed through to carer, senior carer, administrator and then home manager in October 2001.
After 29 years at Langley Park I was promoted to Quality Manager, moving over to regional manager in June 2021.
I’m very passionate about care and strongly believe that everyone should have their independence promoted and their values, morals, culture and beliefs respected.
We should all have the right to choose regardless of abilities, and effort can always be made to ensure choices are promoted and communicated accurately.
