Welcome to Grosvenor Park Care Home. This purpose-built home is located close to the famous Darlington railway station, in the shadow of the clock tower and easily accessible from the A66. Grosvenor Park is close to local shops, parks and is well served by public transport.

Each of our 61 ensuite bedrooms some of which are suitable for double occupancy is furnished to a high standard offering Residents the chance to enjoy comfort and tranquillity. At Grosvenor Park providing independence and choice is very important – One reason we try and encourage residents to personalise their rooms with their own belongings to help them feel at home.

We believe that life at Grosvenor Park should include the best care, the best of life in the best environment.

All Marton Care residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. Our person-centred care ethos puts resident’s health and wellbeing central to everything providing a truly holistic care package.

The facilities at Grosvenor Park allow residents to enjoy other everyday routines that promote independence, from using the spacious communal lounges and activities room enjoying the secure gardens and views to utilising the Beauty Salon.

Our home has a busy activities timetable, built around the key goals of mental stimulation, increased mobility and social engagement. Activities include arts and crafts sessions, gardening, exercise classes, cinema nights, quizzes, musical performances, and pamper sessions. Each activity is designed to enhance life skills and give a feeling of purpose and self-worth. There is a great variety of activities to try, with new activities added frequently.

The in-house chefs will prepare exceptional food from fresh, seasonal produce that’s locally sourced where possible. Menus will include a mix of delicious and nutritious options including traditional classic meals, Residents’ favourites and exciting international cuisine.

Grosvenor Park Care Home is proud to be part of the Dementia Friends campaign and other charities to support research on what practices best support people living with dementia to positively influence policy and practice for dementia care in care homes across the UK.

Meet Angela Hutchinson

Care Home Manager

Angela Hutchinson has been a dedicated member of the Grosvenor Park Care Home team since it first opened, with over 20 years of experience in various roles. Starting her career as a carer, Angela’s commitment and passion for providing quality care have seen her progress through multiple positions, leading to her appointment as home manager in 2012.

Angela holds an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care Management, a qualification that reflects her extensive knowledge and leadership abilities. Her certificate is proudly displayed in the office, symbolising her dedication to ensuring the highest standards of care at Grosvenor Park.

Having been part of the home since its inception, Angela’s experience and hands-on approach foster a warm, welcoming environment where both residents and staff feel supported and valued. Under her guidance, Grosvenor Park continues to be a place where excellent care and well-being are always a priority.
